Some road authorities use the CAR History system instead of the PermitAccess system.
Note: in some cases, multiple road authorities may generate CARs for a single CorridorAccess enquiry, e.g. NZTA as well as the council, or two councils (if working around a municipal boundary). In these cases, you will need to complete both permit applications in CAR History and/or PermitMonitor.
If the authority is using the CAR History system, it will say "CAR Sent" next to that authority on your job confirmation sheet.
Note: if you have any questions about the council's requirements for CARs, they can be contacted directly using the phone number from your caller confirmation or job Summary.
Once the CAR has been completed and accepted, you will receive written notification from the Road-Controlling Authority. You must ensure no activity commences until you have received this written permission.
